About Rachael

Rachael Storey-Chase is an autistic artist living and practicing in Arlington, Virginia. She works primarily in acrylic paint, inks, foils, and mica powder, and is constantly exploring, experimenting with, and evolving her materials, styles, and techniques.

While Rachael’s formal education includes an A.A.S. in Multimedia and Web Design from the Art Institute International of Minneapolis, the majority of Rachael’s art education is informal. She takes in-person classes at the Torpedo Factory in Old Town Alexandria, as well as online courses and independent study in composition, color, and style.

Rachael has been creating art for years, but has only recently started selling her paintings and identifying as an artist. She has overcome struggles with c-PTSD, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, and neurodivergence through art and art therapy, and continues to advocate for mental health and autism awareness.
