My dad used to play and sing Bob Dylan songs -- better than Dylan ever did, in my opinion -- and this was a favorite. He always gave it a more soulful interpretation, and that comes through in the way I see the music. This piece evokes for me the way my brothers and I would dance in the grass while Dad and his musician buddies played on the back porch well into the Northern Indiana summer evenings.
