This was painted for an open call musical challenge for a Swedish arts collective. For this round the category was Pop, and this song was selected.
 
To me the opening strains immediately felt like they were pulling me below water, like a quickening spiral of sound. I wanted this piece to contain the motion of someone falling face-up through the water, with the light filtering down towards them.
