I painted this while thinking back on old memories of fights in my first marriage. This piece represents the tension between a pair of arguing lovers, the attractions that keeps them together and the conflicts that pushes them apart. It appears darker in person, with iridescent shifts in the reds and purples from the layers of ink wash.
