This spiritual piece was painted while I grieved my cat's terminal diagnosis, and his passing three months later. He was a very special cat, an exotic breed rescue with a host of congenital conditions that ultimately took him from me at less than ten years old.
 
He bonded to me when I rescued him as a 5-month-old poorly socialized kitten, and loved and trusted me in a way no other animal ever has. He left an enormous hole in my heart, and I wait to reunite with him in the world beyond.
